mary kritsmas. why did i remember her. but of course! mary kritsmas used to go and secretly drink her father’s ouzo. people saw her at school and wondered “what is this about?” and she went and drank her father’s ouzo in secret. but me, i have a different story to tell you about mary kritsmas. or another one. maybe i’m a little bit confused.
mary kritsmas had a somewhat peculiar home. she chose not to live in her family home, except when she drank her father’s ouzo. neither mather nor fother knew where Mary slept and where she spent her time. This was mary kritsmas’s closely guarded secret and often mather and fother would tell her “where are you going, useless daughter???” but she would laugh. and they would beat her and she would laugh some more. She was such a tramp, my lovely/beloved girl.

MAS NEVER WENT WHERE YOU’D THINK SHE WOULD
MAS NEVER WENT ANYWHERE WHERE YOU THINK SHE DID AND THE MOTHERS BEAT ME BECAUSE I DIDN’T GET INTO THE HOUSE AND THEY CAME OUT AND SHOUTED WHERE ARE YOU GOING WORTHLESS DAUGHTER AND I CRIED AND TRIED TO PASS. THROUGH THE DOOR.
kissed girl, bitten girl, no place in the walnut tree for you, said the door but only Mary kritsmas could hear it. The mather could only hear herself calling Mary Kritsmas a useless daughter. kissed girl, bitten girl, no place in the walnut tree for you, said the door and Mary Kritsmas would leave and come to me in secret and I would kiss her where they beat her and bite her where it hurt. Mary Kritsmas. Kissed girl, bitten girl, no place in the walnut tree for you.
